One of the busiest stations on the BART system, this transit hub serves both daily commuters and visitors to the Bay Area. It connects to many other stations throughout the BART system, providing comprehensive access to San Francisco, the East Bay, and points beyond.
Lines Served: The Daly City BART Station is served by multiple BART lines, including the:
- Yellow Line (Antioch - SFO/Millbrae)
- Red Line (Richmond - Millbrae/SFO)
- Blue Line (Dublin/Pleasanton - Daly City)
- Green Line (Berryessa/North San José - Daly City)
Bus Connections: The station is a major bus transit hub with connections to several local and regional bus routes, including SamTrans and Muni buses.
Car Parking & Bike Storage: The station has a large parking lot with over 2,000 parking spaces, making it a convenient option for park-and-ride commuters. Parking is available for a fee, and there are reserved spaces for carpooling and electric vehicles. There are also bike racks and lockers available for cyclists.

SamTrans (San Mateo County Transit District) bus service is provided throughout the City and converges at the Daly City BART station and at the top of Mission Street ("Top-of-the-Hill") at John Daly Boulevard.

I-280
A major north-south freeway that runs parallel to the San Francisco Peninsula, Interstate 280 (I-280) in Daly City is a key transportation corridor for commuters and travelers. Routes from Daly City include:
San Francisco:
- Northbound: I-280 ends at King Street in the SoMa (South of Market) neighborhood of San Francisco, providing direct access to downtown, the Financial District, and the Embarcadero.
- It also offers access to neighborhoods like Potrero Hill, Mission Bay, and the Dogpatch area.
- Convenient for reaching landmarks like Oracle Park, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA), and the Moscone Center.
South Bay and Silicon Valley:
- Southbound: I-280 continues down the San Francisco Peninsula, passing through cities like San Bruno, Millbrae, and Redwood City, all the way to San Jose.

East Bay:
While I-280 itself doesn’t directly connect to the East Bay, it links with highways like I-380 and US 101, which provide access to I-80 and the Bay Bridge, making it convenient for reaching Oakland, Berkeley, and other East Bay cities.
SFO Airport:
Through connections with I-380 or US 101, I-280 provides a convenient route to San Francisco International Airport (SFO), making it a preferred route for travelers heading to and from the airport.
CA1
For those who prefer a more scenic route, CA-1 offers an alternative to the sometimes busier I-280. Known locally as Junipero Serra Boulevard, it also provides access to neighborhoods and commercial areas throughout Daly City, as well as Thornton State Beach and Mussel Rock Park. Main routes include:
San Francisco:
- Northbound: CA-1 continues into San Francisco as Junipero Serra Boulevard and eventually becomes 19th Avenue, a major arterial road.
- It provides access to neighborhoods like the Outer Sunset, Richmond District, and the Presidio.
- It also connects to popular destinations such as Golden Gate Park, Ocean Beach, the Cliff House, and the Golden Gate Bridge.
Pacific Coast and Peninsula:
- Southbound: CA-1 continues down the coast, passing through scenic coastal towns like Pacifica, Half Moon Bay, and Santa Cruz.
- This stretch is known for its breathtaking coastal views
Highway Interchanges:
- In Daly City, CA-1 intersects with I-280, providing convenient access to both the coastal route and the inland freeway.
- It also intersects with CA-35 (Skyline Boulevard) and CA-92 near Half Moon Bay, which provides a route to the East Bay and Silicon Valley.
